Agency Principal, Jarrard “Rod” Powell Sr. is multi-state licensed in Life, Health, & Annuities as well as Property & Casualty, a Registered Employee Benefits Consultant and Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist. Holding a degree in Business and certifications in Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship, his industry experience includes roles as a Corporate Executive and Entrepreneur building and leading teams.

 

He is the host of the "You Should Get A License"  podcast and sits on several community-focused non-profit boards and industry trade organizations such as the American Heart Association of Virginia, the Virginia Insurance Association, and the Central Virginia chapter of the National African American Insurance Association where He currently serves as chapter President in Richmond, VA. He also recently became an author releasing his first book, "Black Pioneers of the American Insurance Industry"

Powell is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, and enjoys quality time with his wife, Vonny, and four sons.
